About Mary
Mary practices from Transy in Dunfermline, Fife and the Feel Good Clinic, near Dunfermline town centre. Treatments are also available in South Queensferry near Edinburgh.
Mary is an experienced sports and remedial massage therapist. After spending over two years providing sports massage and complementary therapies at Duloch Leisure Centre, Duloch Park, Mary is now based within the Feel Good Clinic near Dunfermline town centre on a Friday. The clinic offers excellent facilities and easy parking. Treatments are also available from Mary's modern treatment room in Transy on a Monday and Wednesday.
The most rewarding part of Mary's work is sucessfully treating people with muscular injuries picked up playing sports, working or simply from the stresses and strains of daily life. However, she also enjoys providing the more relaxing treatments such as reflexology or therapeutic massage which can calm the mind as well as relax the body, helping to reduce stress and tension.
Mary has a background in nursing and worked for 15 years in the NHS. After discovering the benefits of massage for herself following a sports injury, Mary decided to train in Complementary Therapies while bringing up a family.
Mary studied an HND in Complementary Therapies at the Adam Smith College, Kirkcaldy. Being a keen runner and member of Carnegie Harriers running club Mary has an interest in fitness. she undertook further studies with the Scottish School of Professional Massage and gained a Diploma in Sports Massage in 2007.
Mary regularly undertakes advanced sports massage training courses to keep her up-to-date and add new skills to her practice.
